RUH Foundation’s Greek Gourmet Feast Raises Over $200,000 for Intensive Care Unit Expansion at RUH

March 19, 2026

SASKATOON – The 42nd Annual Greek Gourmet Feast, presented by Nutrien and hosted by Manos Restaurant & Lounge, was a sold-out evening of exceptional food, generosity and community spirit, raising $204,500 in support of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Royal University Hospital (RUH) — including a generous matching gift presented by Ron and Honya Olson that led to more than $60,000 in additional donations during the event.

Proceeds from this year’s event will support the expansion of the ICU at RUH, helping ensure critically ill and injured patients have access to the specialized care, space, and equipment they need when every second counts.

“Critical care is about being ready for the most complex and life-threatening situations,” says Dr. Sabira Valiani, RUH critical care physician. “Support from events like the Greek Gourmet Feast helps ensure we have the capacity, technology and environment needed to care for patients at their most vulnerable, and to support families through incredibly difficult moments.”

Since its inception in 1984, the Greek Gourmet Feast has raised more than $1.7 million in support of health care at RUH.

“Hosting this event each year is incredibly meaningful to our family and team,” says Taso Barlas, Owner of Manos Restaurant & Lounge. “It’s about bringing people together not only to share great food, but to support care that truly impacts our community. Giving back is part of our culture and our values here in Saskatchewan, and it’s something that we’re proud to be part of.”

“The Greek Gourmet Feast is a powerful example of what our community can achieve together,” says Jennifer Molloy, CEO of RUH Foundation. “Year after year, this event helps fund critical priorities at RUH. This year, that generosity will help expand ICU capacity — ensuring patients receive the highest level of care when they need it most.”

This year’s success would not have been possible without the incredible support of our guests, sponsors, volunteers, and the dedicated team at Manos. Special thanks to Nutrien, Manos, and our valued sponsors for their generosity and commitment to advancing patient care at RUH. For a complete list of sponsors, visit ruhf.org/greek-gourmet-feast/.

With the support of donors across Saskatchewan, RUH Foundation has invested more than $194 million in patient care, research, and education at RUH since 1983.
