Saskatchewan Blue Cross Bolsters Care for Seizure Patients

Saskatchewan Blue Cross’ generous gift of $50,000 will support the Saskatchewan Epilepsy Program, which offers an innovative Integrated Wellness Program at Royal University Hospital for patients with epilepsy in our province.

Participants living with epilepsy will work one-on-one with wellness and exercise experts, building and providing tools for patients to use in their daily lives. The program also aims to enhance general awareness of those living with epilepsy, including practical information on what to do when encountering someone having a seizure.

“Understanding conditions like epilepsy and how to respond to those having a seizure expands our health literacy,” says Kelly Wilson, President and CEO of Saskatchewan Blue Cross. “We are committed to investing in programs such as these as they impact community wellness on a fundamental level.”

Royal University Hospital Foundation thanks Saskatchewan Blue Cross for making the Integrated Wellness Program a reality at RUH. Working together, we are enhancing the care available and the quality of life for those living with seizure disorders and epilepsy in our province.
