Royal University Hospital Foundation Greek Gourmet Feast Helps to Save Lives!

March 21, 2024

Royal University Hospital (RUH) Foundation’s 40th Annual Greek Gourmet Feast, presented by Nutrien and hosted by Manos, raised more than $164,000 (net) at a sold-out event Wednesday night!

Proceeds from the 2024 Greek Gourmet Feast will help purchase new technology and state-of-the-art equipment for Royal University Hospital’s aging Cardiac Catheterization Lab where more than 3,000 life-saving and life-changing heart procedures are performed each year.

“Hosting the annual Greek Gourmet Feast for the past 24 years is an honour for our family and staff members,” says Taso Barlas, Owner of Manos. “We love to do it and are grateful to be able to support Royal University Hospital Foundation in advancing patient care excellence at RUH.”

Since its inception in 1984, the Greek Gourmet Feast has raised more than $1.5 million (net) for health-care priorities at RUH.

“Thanks to the enduring support from Nutrien, Manos and so many others in our community, the Greek Gourmet Feast continues to make a big difference in the lives of so many at RUH each year,” says Jennifer Molloy, Foundation CEO. “Their generosity is providing RUH’s medical teams with the additional resources they need to save and improve more lives of their patients today and for years to come at RUH.”

The 40th Annual Greek Gourmet Feast’s success was due to the generosity of the guests who attended the event, as well as the incredible sponsors: Nutrien; Manos; Associated Radiologists; NexGen; RBC PH&N Investment Counsel; SaskTel; S.O. Asher Consultants Ltd.; University of Saskatchewan Department of Medicine; Ens Auto; Schaan Healthcare Products Inc.; BDO Canada; EY LLP; Cuelenaere LLP; Daniels Wingerak Engineering Ltd.; and Fuddruckers.

RUH Foundation, thanks to the generosity of donors from across the province during the past 41 years, has invested more than $170 million in support of innovative patient care, education, and research initiatives at RUH.
