Connected by Care: RUH Foundation Surpasses $200 Million Raised for Saskatchewan Health Care

June 10, 2026

SASKATOON – Royal University Hospital Foundation is proud to announce a historic milestone: more than $200 million raised since its founding in 1983, thanks to the generosity of donors across Saskatchewan.

The achievement was celebrated following the Foundation’s Annual General Meeting and marks more than four decades of community investment in innovation, research, education and life-saving patient care at Royal University Hospital — the province’s leading acute-care and teaching hospital.

“Crossing the $200 million mark is a remarkable reflection of what can happen when people come together around a shared purpose,” said Maeghan Dubois, incoming Chair of RUH Foundation’s Board of Directors. “Every dollar raised represents someone choosing to make a difference for patients they may never meet. Reaching $200 million is a powerful reminder that Saskatchewan’s health-care successes are built through partnership, generosity and a shared commitment to better care.”

During the 2025–26 fiscal year, donors helped advance critical priorities across cardiology, mental health, neurology, oncology, stroke care, surgery and trauma, research and education, and diagnostic services.

Among the year’s highlights were the arrival of the province’s first ROSA neurosurgical robot, completed renovations of RUH’s interventional cardiology suite, support for specialized fellowship training, the introduction of advanced brain tumour surgical technology through the BrainPath and NICO Myriad system and investments in patient and family-centred programs ranging from mental health initiatives to intensive care improvements.

Together, these investments strengthen Royal University Hospital’s role as Saskatchewan’s leading acute-care and teaching hospital, ensuring patients across the province have access to innovative care, advanced technology and highly specialized treatment closer to home.

“This milestone belongs to every donor, volunteer, physician, staff member and community partner who has supported our mission over the past 43 years,” said Jennifer Molloy, CEO of RUH Foundation. “From groundbreaking technology and specialized training to research, education and patient-centred programs, donors are helping ensure Saskatchewan patients have access to the very best care, right here at home. We are truly connected by care, and this milestone reflects the extraordinary impact that connection has had on our province.”

RUH Foundation also extends its sincere gratitude to outgoing board members Emmanuel Morin and Grant Grenier for their years of dedicated service. The Foundation welcomes Kim Coutts and Kelly Wilson as new directors and looks forward to their contributions.
