Dr. Angela Baerwald, PhD MD CCFP, is a Family Physician and Director of the Women’s Health Research Lab at the University of Saskatchewan. Her research team studies ovarian/uterine function in women during the menstrual cycle. She has acquired expertise in characterizing how reproductive function is altered in women using hormonal contraception, fertility therapy, and during the menopausal transition. Dr Baerwald’s team also develops novel tools for imaging female reproductive tissues, including the ultrasound biomicroscope and synchrotron.
Dr. Laura Hopkins, BSc, MSc, MD, FRCSC, is a Gynecologic Oncologist with 18 years of experience providing surgical care, chemotherapy and palliative support for women with cancer. She is a Full Professor in the Division of Oncology at the University of Saskatchewan and Provincial Lead for Gynecologic Cancer at the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency. She has a Master’s degree in Clinical Epidemiology and her research interests include quality improvement and medical education.
