Royal University Hospital Foundation Introduces New Chief Executive Officer

March 3, 2022

On December 16, 2022, Doug Osborn, Volunteer Chair of the Royal University Hospital (RUH) Foundation Board of Directors, announced Jennifer Molloy, BA, CFRE, as the Foundation’s new Chief Executive Officer with an official start date of March 1, 2022. She takes over the reins from retiring CEO, Arla Gustafson, who has served as CEO since 2007. Jennifer was born and raised in Saskatoon and for the past nine years has been the Director of Development at the University of Saskatchewan’s Western College of Veterinary Medicine. Over the last 18 years, she has held fundraising positions at St. Paul’s Hospital Foundation, The Canadian Red Cross and the College of Law at the University of Saskatchewan. As Jennifer describes, “I love this community. It is built on a spirit of hard work and people coming together for a shared goal. We are both inspirational and entrepreneurial and, for a mid-sized city, we’ve been able to achieve a lot.”

Jennifer is a graduate of the University of Saskatchewan (Bachelor of Arts-Sociology) and has held her Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) designation since 2009. Jennifer prides herself on building strong teams, thinking strategically and creating meaningful relationships with donors and stakeholders. She served as President of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Saskatoon Chapter in 2021 and volunteers as a Director on the Boards of READ Saskatoon and Haven Family Connections. “My family and I always felt it was important to be involved in the community and I admire people who give back either through time or through financial support,” Jennifer explains. She continues, “I have always been drawn to fundraising and philanthropy and enjoy connecting with people, building relationships and being part of a donor’s philanthropic journey. To see the benefits and impact donor support has on families in the community is truly amazing and very rewarding.”

Jennifer Molloy joins RUH Foundation as the organization’s timely and vital Mission Possible: Operation New O.R. Campaign moves into its third year. This is a $20-million+ mission to build and equip new state-of-the-art operating rooms, reduce wait times and to support the medical teams as they tackle the unprecedented surgical backlog post-pandemic.
