Meet our 2021 Finalist, Dr. Jennifer Brown Broderick!

A practicing engineer, Dr. Jennifer Brown Broderick, MSc ENG, MD, FRCSC, DABOG, later shifted to medicine, graduating from the University of Alberta in 2009. Having completed her residency and fellowship in gynecologic oncology at the University of Ottawa, she practiced for 4 years in Rochester, NY before returning to Canada. A gynecologic oncologist in Saskatoon and assistant professor of oncology at the University of Saskatchewan, she currently directs several clinical trials as primary investigator, including Saskatchewan’s first in gynecologic oncology.

Meet our 2021 Finalist, Dr. Janine Eckstein!

Dr. Janine Eckstein, MD, FRCPC, BSc, is an assistant professor at the University of Saskatchewan and works as an Interventional Cardiologist in Saskatoon. She completed both her undergraduate degree and medical education at the University of Saskatchewan including Internal Medicine and Cardiology residencies. Following training at the University of Saskatchewan she completed a clinical fellowship at St Michael’s Hospital in Interventional and Structural Cardiology. She returned in July 2019 to Saskatoon to join the Cardiology division.

Meet our 2021 Finalist, Dr. Brittany Ellis!

Dr. Brittany Ellis, FRCPC, MBChB, MSc (Public Health), is currently the Provincial Lead for Geriatric Emergency Medicine and works clinically as an emergency medicine physician. She completed training in emergency medicine (EM), and a fellowship in geriatric EM (GEM). Prior to this she completed an MSc in Public Health at the University of Edinburgh and worked in dementia policy and service development. She is the current Chair of the national GEM Committee and is committed to enhancing Emergency Department care of older people.
